Almost every company now has their own web pages since website can easily serve the purpose of showing the people all over the world who you are and what you do. One could simply create a website to serve that purpose by using a tool such as Joomla. Joomla is a content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. The basic idea of Joomla (or any web content management system for that matter) is that a non-technical person often needs to be able to keep their own website up-to-date without having to call on a web developer to make changes every time. Of course there are some things that can only be done by a web developer, but for simpler tasks such as changing the wording of a paragraph, it is an unnecessary burden and expense for both parties if you have to get a developer to make the changes. This means that the clients are able to update their sites themselves once they have a full working template. My task for this project is to develop a website template consisting of nine different pages for Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District (RCRCD) using Joomla.
