California State University San Bernardino Department of Computer Science and Engineering Internship Presentation Date June 19, 2009 Time 4:00-4:30 pm Place JBH 359 Title "Lytle is Vital" Water Quality Sampling Atlas Project Presenter Brandon Sierra Abstract The Lytle is Vital Water Quality Sampling Atlas Project program was devised to improve the local capacity to preserve and restore watershed balance in the Lytle Creek Subwatershed. The goal of the internship is to display the chemical (ecoli and enterococcus) data results of the water quality monitoring program. The data collected will be displayed in a time series graph to show water quality parameters. This data will be served to a website to show if the Lytle is Vital program is having positive influence on the water quality. Along the way, there were many complications that aroused. The first development environment was Microsoft Windows XP with the ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 and ArcGIS Server 9.2. However, after finding out that the task at hand was not achievable in ArcGIS Server 9.2, we upgraded to ArcGIS Desktop 9.3 and ArcGIS Server 9.3, still developing on Microsoft Windows XP environment. I will briefly share my experience of creating the website as well as providi ng a demo of the results.
